Micro-Grid

How much does a Charge Bliss Microgrid cost?

Businesses vary greatly, not only in how much energy they use, but WHEN and HOW QUICKLY they use it as well.

Charge Bliss microgrids are tailored to the specific needs and cost tolerances of each business.

However, incentives and rebates may eliminate as much as 91% of the initial cost- leading to a rapid and substantial Return on Investment (ROI).

Charge Bliss can also assist with finding financing of Power Purchase Agreements or leases.

Charge Bliss will configure a system that not only decreases your energy and demand cost but provides a hedge against the inevitable rise in energy cost.

How does the process work?

Once you contact us, Charge Bliss will analyze your options at no cost or obligation to you or your business.

With a limited amount of intake information, we can help you determine whether a controller alone, a microgrid or both may be optimal.

We will provide you robust analysis to show the merits of each option and to help you choose the right solution.

We provide you a comprehensive proposal showing the 20-year performance of the system, costs and returns, incentives and rebates, and Return on Investment (ROI).

Are there incentives for these systems?

Charge Bliss will help you through the process of identifying Federal, State, and local incentives and rebates.

In many scenarios, Microgrid system owners may recover over 75% of the system cost their first year in tax incentives alone.

Are their financing options?

Charge Bliss can provide multiple options to help your business obtain a microgrid.

Whether it is traditional bank lending, third-party investors and Power Purchase Agreements, or leases, Charge Bliss will help you find the right option for your business.

How much can a Charge Bliss Microgrid save my business?

Depending upon the available space for solar generation, businesses may produce and use up to 100% of their entire energy needs.

However, Charge Bliss generally recommends optimizing microgrids to achieve the best ROI through the maximization of incentives.

Charge Bliss provides a detailed proposal to each potential business customer to demonstrate cost savings through usage, efficiency, demand management, and building controls.

Do these systems require additional personnel to operate them?

Charge Bliss systems are designed to operate nearly autonomously.

While building personnel are offered full access to online portals to view real-time system function and may receive alerts specific to their requirements, both the Charge Bliss controller and the Charge Bliss Microgrids have embedded systems to operate without site personnel oversight.

Indeed, our fervent hope is to allow businesses to turn their attention to other business operational matters.

Is the equipment safe?

Wherever possible, Charge Bliss uses systems that have been approved by recognized national safety laboratories such as Intertek or Underwriters Laboratory.

Charge Bliss continuously evaluates new technological options and informs its clients of the specifications and safety profiles of the materials we use.

Further, Charge Bliss has recommended installation partners with demonstrated quality of electrical installations.

What are Demand Charges?

Unlike most homes, commercial buildings pay for energy based on three things:

  • how much energy they use (kWh),
  • how fast they use it (kW),
  • and when they use it (TOU, Time of Use).

These additional fees, called “Demand Fees,” are added to your bill during times at which your community’s energy demands are the highest and are typically during normal business hours.

Demand fees can make up 20%-70% of your entire monthly electric bill.

What is Smart Technology?

So-called “smart” systems have embedded programming to recognize and address complex system functions and to adjust them far faster and more accurately than could be achieved by your building personnel.

For example, a smart power control system can selectively take power from on-site storage systems instead of the Utility to limit the cost of energy or can direct when discretionary devices cycle on or off to prevent their loads from “stacking” upon one another.

How much does a Smart Panel cost?

The Charge Bliss Smart Panel is a low cost/high yield device.

Because the number and type of electrical systems may vary substantially between businesses, each installation is customized.

End-users may opt to purchase the device and the ancillary equipment once the no-obligation site analytics are completed.

However, we recommend a lease wherein Charge Bliss absorbs the cost of the equipment, installation, and cloud services in exchange for a lease payment that is well less than the predicted savings.

How much can my business save with the Charge Bliss Controller?

The Charge Bliss controller can decrease building energy usage and demand by as much as 20%.

Additional savings may occur from early recognition of device malfunction such as changes in productivity and efficiency as well as understanding how best to incorporate new efficiencies such as LED lighting.

Do these systems require additional personnel to operate them?

Charge Bliss systems are designed to operate nearly autonomously.

While building personnel are offered full access to online portals to view real-time system function and may receive alerts specific to their requirements, both the Charge Bliss controller and the Charge Bliss Microgrids have embedded systems to operate without routine oversight from building personnel.

Indeed, our fervent hope is to free building personnel to address other operational matters that require their input.

How much maintenance is required?

Charge Bliss systems are designed to operate with similar maintenance to that required for other, conventional business electrical systems.

In general, this means periodic checking of connections and occasional cleaning of systems such as solar panels.

In addition, Charge Bliss equipment is designed to be durable for the long term and not to require frequent care.

Most importantly, the continuous monitoring of Charge Bliss systems through cloud services allows for early recognition of system variances that can facilitate early intervention.
